Job Summary: Emergency Medical Technicians are responsible for providing emergent and non-emergent Basic Life Support (BLS) services to the sick and injured, and for continuing to provide BLS medical services until responsibility for patient care can be assumed by hospital authorities or a Paramedic.
Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), CMA Accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP/EMT) level, Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level, Valid Class 4 drivers license, Clean Driver’s Abstract
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
- Advanced communication skills
- Advanced interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Pay Band: $29.909 to $36.572 (5 step range)
- 8 hour paid shift and 16 hours of standby assignment.
