Noelie Gagne-Schaan

December 25, 1922 – July 7, 2020

 

Noelie (Bourassa) (Gagne) Schaan was born Dec. 25, 1922 in Radville, SK and passed away July 7, 2020 at Leoville, SK she was 97 years of age.   A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Spiritwood, SK with Father Peter Nnanga, MSP as celebrant.  Those participating in the Mass were Larry Schaan – Cross Bearer, Leon Gagne – Urn Bearer, Phil Marion – Music, Readers were Pauline Gagne, Duane LaFreniere and Yvonne Bisson, Honorary Pallbearers were Noelie’s Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and the Evergreen Health Centre Staff.  The Eulogy was given by Adele Horn and Rita Goertzen.  Noelie’s final resting place is in the Laventure Cemetery.  Noelie is lovingly survived by: her children: Leon (Laurelle) Gagne of Spiritwood, SK and family: Michelle (Jackson) Wells, Pauline Gagne, Conrad (Mandy) Gagne, her son-in-law, Leo LaFreniere of North Battleford, SK and family: Duane (Tressa) LaFreniere, Clayton (Carol) LaFreniere, Perry (Debbie) LaFreniere, Diane Greenard of Saskatoon, SK and family: Kevin Greenard, Adele (Jim) Horn of Warman, SK and family: Tracy (Ryan) McCleary, Rita Goertzen of La Ronge, SK, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  Her siblings: Leopold (Irma) Bourassa, Marie Georget, Gerald (Pauline) Bourassa, Frank (Shirley) Bourassa, Sisters-in-law, Laurette and Therese Bourassa, also numerous nieces and nephews.  Her step-children:  Larry (Sharon) Schaan; Sharon (Rob) Dixon; Dianne (Harvey) Franson and Carol (Neil) Fast.  She was predeceased by: her husbands, Emile Gagne and Frank Schaan, daughter, Agnes Lafreniere, son-in-law, Ivan Goertzen, grandchildren, Dallas LaFreniere, Trina (Horn) Genest and Keith Greenard, parents, Aristide and Orise Bourassa, siblings, Omer, Alfred (Lucy), Anna Vallee, Irene Turgeon (Philias, George), Arthur (Lorna), Adrien and Isabel (Phil) Martindale.  Donations may be made in Noelie’s memory to Evergreen Health Centre, Leoville, SK as tokens of remembrance.  Those wishing to send online condolences are invited to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com, Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mark Muir of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, Spiritwood, Sask.
