Muriel Jessie Nachtegaele

The family of Muriel Jessie Nachtegaele announce her passing with heavy hearts. Muriel was born March 2, 1931 near Sandwith, SK and passed peacefully in North Battleford on April 9, 2026 with her daughters at her side.
Muriel was the beloved wife of George Nachtegaele, to whom she was married to for 53 years until his passing in 2019.
Mom and Grandma will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by daughter Tammy (Rick) Sather and their children Nicole (Jake) Kruidenier, Kristen (Mitch) West and their son Beau, and Cody (Rayeann) Sather; daughter Jody (Mark) Fitzgerald and their children Dylan (Emily) Fitzgerald and Alyssa (Brayden) Schalk; and sister-in-law Naomi Shepherd; as well as numerous nieces & nephews, friends and family.
She was predeceased by her husband George; her parents Eric and Ruth Shepherd; her parents-in-law Oscar and Celina Nachtegaele; her siblings Thomas Shepherd, Edward Shepherd, and Dorothy (Ken) Ray; and her brother and sisters-in-law Nestor, Lillian (Tom) Nykiforuk, Eileen (Jim) Punch, and Julia (Don) Rozander.
The family would like to thank the staff of River Heights Lodge for their care and love of Muriel during her time there.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday April, 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Meota Community Hall, Meota, SK. with Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kunnath as celebrant.
