Wick, Lana Marie

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness the family of Lana Wick announce her sudden passing on April 22, 2025 in North Battleford, SK at the age of 56 years.

Left to mourn her loss and cherish all that she was is her beloved family; spouse, Ira Bird of Battleford, SK, her children; daughter, Taylor (Stephen) and children, Memphis, Zayla and Acacia of Saskatoon, SK, son, Zachary (Ashley) and children, Scarlett and Rhea of Saskatoon, SK, and daughter, Alexa of North Battleford, SK. Lana is survived by 8 grandchildren and her two siblings, sister, Tracy Wick and daughter, Mackenzie, and brother, Ryan Wick as well Lana’s father, Jim Wick, Ira’s children and numerous other family and friends.

Lana was predeceased by her mother, Judith Wick.

Lana’s greatest joy was being a grandmother, her dedication to her grandchildren was unwavering. She cherished every moment with them whether it was birthdays, milestones or sharing stories. Lana had a special nickname for each of her beloved grandchildren. Her presence will be profoundly missed by her grandkids.

Lana was well known in her community and supported so many with words of comfort and was always known to be willing to lend a hand when and where able to.

Prayer services for Lana will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in North Battleford at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at the Battleford Cemetery in Battleford, SK.

The family suggests, that if desired, a donation can be made in Lana’s memory to the North Battleford SPCA, Po Box 645, 114 St Main, North Battleford, Saskatchewan, S9A-2Y7
