It is with heavy hearts the family of Maureen announce her passing on July 11, 2026 at the age of 66 years.

You have not lost me. People like to say “I am sorry for your loss” but you have not lost me. In fact quite the opposite is true. I am actually closer than ever before because I now live on within you. You can feel me in the morning, in the suns gentle embrace. You can hear me on the radio when my favourite songs are being played. As you look into the evening sky when the stars are shining bright know that I will be looking back at you, every single night. And if you wanna feel me close, my grave is not the place to sit because within the beauty of this earth that my essence still exists. So look for me at dusk and dawn as the sun paints the sky pink/red/baby blue it is there you will see I still live on and although my time on earth is over, my work here is done and some people leave this world in silence, but I’ll send you signs so you know that your not alone.

Maureen has begun her journey home to The Creator, Wake Service will begin Friday July 17, 2026; procession will leave Eternal Memories, 1332 100^th Street at 12:00 P.M.

The Wake will continue until her Funeral Service Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. Both Services will take place Chief Glen Keskotagen Hall on Red Pheasant Cree Nation and Burial will follow at Red Pheasant Cemetery.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium, Student Funeral Director, Alyssa Kozinski and Licensed Funeral Director, Tessa Bell.
