Following her husband, Morris J. Chomey, who passed on 28 March 2015, her mother who passed on 4 April 2006 and her father who passed on 13 April 2011. Her Brother in law, Stanford John Chomey 4 May 2022, her mother in law, Helen Chomey who passed, 19 November 2009 and father in law, John A. Chomey on 28 December 1989. Opening their arms to see Mom home during a massive storm on 20 August 2025.
Our mother passed surrounded by the love of her family and amazing friends. We talked about her love for chocolate milk, tours around the home and her sharp wit. She will be dearly missed by the loving people that surrounded her and kept her near to her heart.
Mom was born to skate and practiced figure skating for hours daily as a youth to perfect her love. Mom used her long skating training to teach power skating to anyone lucky enough to take the class and would also be a co-coach to a boys ball team and travelled to tournaments all around our area. Her connection to sports and volunteering revealed her incredible Sweet & Sour meatballs which was a massive hit at the year end wrap up.
Mom was a Certified Nurses Aide and worked at various Hospitals in North Battleford until the decision was made to move to Uranium City. She continued to be a Nurses Aid and assisted in medical transport by plane to the surrounding communities around Uranium City. We moved again to Kamloops where she continued her nursing through to the move back to North Battleford, where, once again, she continued to be a nurse’s aide until her retirement.
Mom loved TeleMiracle and would stay up as late as she could to watch as many hours as possible. She loved watching the donations scroll across the screen and would mentally record the value of the donation and challenges. Mom has years and years of the famous TeleMiracle bears.
If so desired, a donation in memory of mom’s name can be made at the next TeleMiracle. We suggest watching the scrolling donations for her name over the coming years.
We ask for your prayers.
Condolences for the family can be made at www.eternalmemoriesfuneral.ca Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium – Tim Scaife Funeral Director.
