Mrs. Irene Bell

With heavy hearts, the family of Irene Bell announces her peaceful passing in North Battleford, SK on January 18, 2025 at the age of 91.
Born in Kerrobert in 1933 as the youngest of six children, Irene grew up on a farm where her lifelong love of animals began. Childhood photos often showed her holding a cat, and she rode a horse to school, showing the adventurous spirit that stayed with her throughout her life. After finishing school, she became a psychiatric nurse and made many close friends throughout her career. Irene seemed to have boundless energy to pursue her multiple interests including baking, gardening and sewing. Time spent at the lake and her constant humming and singing brought so much joy to Irene, her family, and her friends.
Irene will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and zest for life by her family, whom she loved dearly:

Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
Irene was predeceased by her husband Tom and partner Alec, parents Bernard and Katherine, siblings Cecilea, Anne, Joseph, Aldia and step-daughter Darcy
“She is like a wildflower; beautiful, fierce, and free.”
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honour her memory.
