Deborah “Deb” Hearn (nee Blender) of Aquadeo, SK, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at the age of 66 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Deb grew up in Sturgis, SK, until she married the love of her life, Brian, after just a few weeks of knowing him. She was a Jill of all trades and at one time had 12 jobs until she took over Chatters, a coffee shop in the Kindersley mall. She was able to connect with everyone and everyone who knew her learned something from her.
She was enthusiastic about gardening and even more about crafting. She is the only person we know who could turn trash into garden ornaments. When hard times were upon her, she taught her family how to persevere and put one foot in front of the other. She didn’t waiver, she was always strong and reliable.
Her grandchildren: Rylan, Nixon and Alden were her pride and joy. She always wanted pictures and updates on what the boys were doing. We will forever cherish the memories of warm hugs, delicious meals (no one went hungry at the Hearn house), knitted blankets and her wise advice (even if you didn’t want to hear it).
Deb is survived by her loving husband, Brian; their children: Marlyn (Tara) Hearn and Malory (Coby) Huether; she was a cherished grandma to: Rylan, Nixon and Alden; her two brothers: Raymond (Debbie) Blender and Mervin Blender; brother-in-law, Ed Hlushko; mother-in-law, Viola Hearn; brother-in-law, Dean (Sharon) Hearn; sister-in-law, Debbie (Ken) Mushanski; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deb was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Mary Blender; sister, Sandra Hlushko; sister-in-law, Donna Shchyschuk; and brother-in-law, Charlie Shchyschuk.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Kindersley.
