Barbara was born on November 24, 1961, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, to Violet and Leonard Delorme. She was raised in Cochin alongside her siblings, Diane, Dale, and Murray, surrounded by a large and loving extended family. She often shared fond memories of working at the Dairy Shop, spending endless summer days at Jackfish Lake, and gathering with family and friends in the community that would forever remain home in her heart.

On July 19th 1982, Barbara met the love of her life, Ron. A handsome and charismatic musician who swept her off her feet. Together, they shared 44 wonderful years of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion as they built a beautiful family together. They welcomed their six children: Lenny, Barry (Viel) Corey, Holly (Eric) Laurie (Brian) and Chasy (Kacey), and lovingly carried the memory of two angel babies who remained forever in their hearts.

Barbara was a proud Métis woman whose greatest joy was caring for those she loved. She found happiness in gardening, arts and crafts, cooking family meals, the smell of fresh rain, coffee brewing in the morning, and returning to Cochin whenever she could. She was known for her warm hugs, contagious laughter, generous heart, and remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved and welcome.

She made every holiday magical, filling her home with music, delicious home-cooked meals, and traditions that will live on for generations. She always went all out to ensure everyone felt included and invited.

One of Barbara’s greatest blessings was becoming “Gran” to her nine beloved grandchildren: Liam, Sebastian, Dorian, Valerie, Vera, Ember, Asche, Juliet, and Alice. They brought immeasurable joy to her life, and she loved each of them beyond words.

Barbara faced the final chapter of her life with extraordinary courage. Despite the challenges of advanced liver disease, she never stopped fighting or hoping for a second chance through a liver transplant. Her strength, determination, and love for her family remained unwavering until the very end.

Barbara leaves behind her loving husband, her six children, her nine treasured grandchildren, her sister, her brother, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever touched by her kindness and compassion.

She was predeceased by her parents, Violet and Leonard Delorme, her brother Dale, her nephews Dallan, Brendon and Ryan, many cherished Aunts, Uncle and Cousins, and her two angel babies.

Barbara will be remembered for her boundless love, her unwavering strength, her generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing her love will remain with us always.

A Viewing for Barbara will take place on August 14th at Eternal Memories Funeral Home and Chapel in North Battleford, SK.

Her Funeral Service will take place on August 15th at St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church in Cochin, SK, with Father Edward Obi at 10:00 A.M.

August 16th will be her burial and celebration of life gathering in Cochin, SK
