Mr. Roy Richardson

Roy Richardson lived a good, long life. He passed away peacefully at the age of 94, on June 1, 2022, surrounded by his family in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
Roy was born to George & Mary on March 18, 1928 in St. Benedict, Saskatchewan. He is survived by his sisters: Luella & Norma.
Roy was blessed to have 2 full marriages in his long life. Roy was first married in 1953 for 36 years to Jean (died at 58 on February 24, 1989) and together they had 7 children. He then married Yvette in October 1990 for 31 years, who continues to reside in North Battleford.
Roy is predeceased by his parents; brother, Lloyd and first wife, Jean.
He is survived by his second wife, Yvette and his children: Jackie Hankewich (Alden)- Chris, Trevor, Carmen; Craig Richardson (Diane)- Sean, Shilo, Bailey; Glen Richardson (Linda)- Nicole, Chandra, Francis; Laverne Isley (Greg)- Justin, Kelsey, Genna, Mitchell; Lenore Mulvaney (Barry)- Breana, Conor; Carmen Richardson (Ralph); Murray Richardson (Michelle)- Ryan; he is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Roy called many places in Saskatchewan home. Starting in Leipzig, Rosetown, Colonsay, Luseland, Wakaw and lastly North Battleford. For many years he and Yvette spent their winters in Arizona.
Roy made friends wherever he lived. He was a devout Catholic and belonged to the Knights of Columbus for many years. He was dedicated to his career within the CO-OP system. Roy was a talented handyman and could build or repair anything he put his mind to. Roy was passionate about golfing, card playing and gambling.
He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Wakaw, Saskatchewan at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Parish, 314 Main Street on Monday, June 13th, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Father Matthew Nguyen as Celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
