Mr. Murray Cheyne

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Murray Cheyne, age 78, on January 11, 2025. Murray, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

Murray was married to his devoted wife Anne Cheyne for 55 wonderful years. They were married on August 2, 1969, and together they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories.

He was a proud father to his two children: Angela (Scott), Doug (Stacey), and was a cherished grandfather to Delaney and Daxon. Murray’s love also extended to his loyal pets, Daisy and Molly, who brought much joy and comfort to him.

Murray is survived by his dear brother Doug (Lynne) Cheyne and nieces Lisa and Kami, along with their families. He considered his many close friends to be like family, and their bond was a great source of strength to him throughout his life.

Murray’s presence will be greatly missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and friendship will continue to inspire all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Battleford’s Healthcare Foundation PO Box 1358 Stn Main, North Battleford, SK S9A 3L8, an organization that was close to Murray’s heart.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring to honor Murray’s life and memory.

He will forever be remembered and deeply missed.
