Mathew William Acaster will be lovingly remembered by his Parents: Mariana & Glen Acaster; Siblings: Ryan (Nola) their children: Frank, George, Lewis; Chris (Tenneille); Brittany and her daughter, Madelyn Rose, and Timothy; Step-Brothers: Tim Haight (Candace) – children: Anna, Logan; Steve Haight (Dez); along with many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Mathew was the salt of the earth and a people-person like no other. He was an amazing Son, Brother, Uncle, Boyfriend and Friend. Mathew was Saskatchewan born and raised and proud of it. After graduating High School, he carried on to get his Bachelor of Comm. from the U of S in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and then furthered his studies in Chemical Engineering in Edmonton, Alberta. He landed his dream job with Baker Hughes and stayed there for 15 years. Mathew worked hard and played hard. He lived life far beyond his years. He was exceptionally smart, an incredible athlete, he played sports and travelled the world. He appreciated the beauty of sand, water, mountains, and trees. He accepted others and loved wholeheartedly. Best of all he loved his family and friends. His love language was doing things for people in need and spending quality time with those he loved. Entertaining was in his blood. He was hilarious, loud and spontaneous. He was witty and goofy. Mathew loved to dress in character. Whether he was decked out as a Texas Cowboy, Ron Burgandy or the Crocodile Hunter, he would make you laugh till your face hurt.
Mathew recently reconnected with a beautiful woman he met 13 years ago on one of his trips to Florida while visiting his Mom and Dad. Kelly and Mathew spent his last eight months together. He truly loved her, and was very happy. His face lit up when he talked about her.
Sadly, work related stress mixed with alcohol took him into darkness. We can’t explain… we don’t have answers. We are left to carry on Mathew’s fight to help others… Nothing Loved is ever lost…
Till we meet Again my Sweet Son…
