It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved father and grandfather Mr. Lionel Godbout on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the age of 91 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. held at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Edam, SK and interment to follow at Christ the King Roman Catholic Cemetery with Reverend Father Peter Paase, MSP and Reverend Father Sebastian Kunnath as celebrants.

Lionel’s memories are cherished by his family:

Larry and his children, Hunter (Alexis) and Rain;

Shelly and her children Ryan (Corily) and their children, Zachary and Tristan; Brandon (Carla) and their children, Aria and Malia;

Rick (Michelle) and their children, Nicole and Vanessa;

Tammy (Bryan) and their children, Jayden (Ashley) and Jacelyn (Tad);

and numerous other special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Lionel was predeceased by his loving wife, Shirley in 2016; his parents, Joseph and Marguerite Godbout; his mother and father-in-law, Ted and Violet Phillips; his sisters & brother in laws, Noella (Martin) Troesch, Yvette (Andy) Muir, and numerous other relatives.

Memorial donations in memory of Lionel may be directed to Masses or Lung Saskatchewan 2308 Arlington Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7J 3L3.
