Mr. Ian Kolberg

Ian William Kolberg passed away suddenly on June 19th, 2024 in Kelowna BC.
Ian is survived by his loving mother, Theresa Kolberg (Terry Strueby). He is predeceased by his father, Weldon Kolberg; his grandparents: Ida and Walter Kolberg and Betty and Adam Keller and one cousin, Trevor Keller. Ian is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Ian grew up in North Battleford, SK. He spent his childhood playing hockey, snowboarding, and he loved playing volleyball. He enjoyed time at the family cabin on Martinson’s Beach, driving seadoos, boats and quads from a very early age.
Growing up he loved his dog, Max, and always hoped to get another one. He shared dog videos constantly with his friends and family.
After university he worked in Saskatoon for a few years but the mountains were calling and he said he must go.
He was a happy, kind and compassionate person and touched the lives of all who knew him, always greeting you with a smile and taking an interest in your life. Known for his kind heart, quick wit and infectious smile, Ian left a lasting impact on everyone he met. No mother could have a more loving son.A Celebration of Ian’s life will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 – 2:00 p.m. at the Western Development Museum – Summer Hall, North Battleford, SK. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the North Battleford Humane Society – Box 645 North Battleford, SK S9A 2Y7 or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium – Trevor Watts Funeral Director.
