Mr. Glorian Walter Humenny

Glorian Walter Humenny passed away peacefully at Battleford Union Hospital with family by his side on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the age of 79 years.
Glorian grew up in the Watson area on the family farm along with his 7 siblings. Upon completing high school, he attended Teachers’ College and University to become a teacher. His teaching career took him to Kelvington, Marcelin, Foam Lake, Saskatoon, Moosomin reserve and Wadena. He retired from teaching in 1995 and spent his retirement years hunting, fishing, tinkering in his shop or perfecting his yard. Glorian was a talented woodworker and could make anything. He was a perfectionist and it was evident in everything he did. In 1979 he decided to take a break from teaching and joined his brothers Steve and Raymond in a family construction company in Meota.
Glorian loved his home on Jackfish Lake and didn’t feel the need to be anywhere else.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Mavis; son, Kelvin (Paula), lsabelle and Oliver; son, Sheldon (Michelle); sister, Angie (Ray); brothers: Paul (Marianne), David (Maxine), Raymond (Darlene), sisters-in-law: Teedee and Jane.
Glorian was predeceased by his parents: Paul and Annie; his sister, Rose; brothers: Steve and Garry; brother-in-law, Carol Johnson; and baby daughter, Shannon.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit and Battlefords Union Hospital for Glorian’s wonderful care in his last days.

A Celebration of Life for Glorian will be held at the Meota Community Complex in Meota, SK on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Barry Tkachuk as celebrant.
