John Garfield Cole (Gary)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Cole, who left us on October 11, 2026 at the age of 79, in the comfort of his home. He was the son of the late Scotty (Frances) and Mary Cole.

Gary was survived by his loving girlfriend Judy Ripka; his brothers: Jim (Lynn) Cole, their children: Adam and Mallory and their family; his daughters: Kathy (Kelly) Kesslering and Sarah (Brian) Cole; his grand children: Caitlyn, Cara, Jayda, Jasmine, Carson and Crosby.

Gary was predeceased by his parents; his niece, Natalie Esquirol; sisters: Janice Esquirol (Hubert), Joan (Harold) Young, Judy Slind; niece, Stephanie Esquirol and the late Helen Cole.

Gary was an avid hunter and collector. He enjoyed travelling with Judy to Mexico for many years and enjoyed playing cards and visiting friends and family. Gary was energetic and you could always bet on him enjoying a brisk walk or mowing his grass. Gary kept his home and yard meticulous and spent most days with a good book.

A Funeral Service to honor Gary’s life will be held at the St. Joseph Calasanctius Roman Catholic Church in North Battleford on October 17, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium, Funeral Director-Tessa Bell
