It is with sadness the family announce the passing of Mr. Clifton Travis Chakita on May 5, 2026 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 49 years.

Left to cherish Clifton’s memory is his common-law partner, Serena Gopher; children: Brandon Nicotine, Blazen Chakita, Keenan Chakita, Dominic Chakita, Carson Chakita; step child, Willow Murdock; adopted children: Morningsky Dreaver, Brayan Rowan; grandchildren: Kashisis Chakita, Shanley Chakita, Acedes Chakita, Achilles Chakita, Blazen Jr. Chakita, Royal Chakita; siblings: Trina Chakita, Kevin Chakita, Everett Kakum, Florida Smallchild, Malcolm Stone; aunts: Elsie Pooyak, Lorna Chakita, Myrtle Bird; uncles: Gerald Bird, Ira Bird; cousins: KJ Bird, Tanner Bird and numerous family members; nieces: Brina Chakita, Karli Chakita, Darnella Chakita, Kayla Shanise, Hailly Montana, Jean Kalan-Cree, Kelly; nephews: Brave Chakita, Kaden Stone, Everett Jr.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford Chakita and Delia Starchief; son, Darnell Chakita; siblings: Tracy Starchief, Diane Starchief, Boss (Clifford) Starchief; maternal grandparents: Gertrude Starchief and Marcel Moosomin; paternal grandparents: John Chakita and Mary Bird; aunts: Clara, Alice, Evelyn, Marlene, Ruby, Darlene, Dorothy, Delores (Mouse); uncles: Kelly Bird, Norman Wilson; cousins: Jason (Big Jay) Jimmy, Tammy Jimmy.

Wake Service began Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

The Funeral Service for Clifton will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man First Nation Community Hall, with burial to follow at Mosquito First Nation Cemetery.
