Marie Hansen Soiseth (née Nissen) passed away the 11th November 2019.

She was born the 8th December 1924 in the home of the Hansen family and grew up south of Mayfair, Saskatchewan. On the 11th June 1948, she married Arthur Soiseth and they farmed only a few miles from her childhood home until 1978 when they retired to North Battleford.

Marie had a great love for people and was a true friend to every person she knew. Her positive attitude enabled her to get through over 9 decades of life. She was never slowed down by things she referred to as “negative.” Every obstacle could be overcome. Those that couldn’t be overcome, could be accommodated. .

She was predeceased by her husband on 20th August 1988. She is survived by her son Mark Soiseth, her daughter Janis Ward, her son-in-law Bill Ward, and her grandchildren James and Dale Ward.

A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00pm, Saturday August 21st, 2021 in Sallows & McDonald – Wilson & Zenhner Chapel (12271 103 Street, North Battleford.)
