Lloyd Waldner

It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Gary Waldner on February 18, 2024, at the age of 79. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Mona Waldner (Erikson) and his cousin, Marlene Lovell. Lloyd was born on May 31, 1944 in Saskatoon and raised on a farm near Langham eventually attending the Saskatoon Technological Collegiate before joining the navy reserves at a young age. He began his career working at the stock yard in Saskatoon. Eventually he met and married his wife Sharon, adopted her daughter, Dawna and soon after welcomed a son, Lloyd. He embarked on a career in sales and marketing. His ability to meet and connect with people from all walks of life was evident and he enjoyed much success over his long career.
Lloyd and his family enjoyed many years visiting and fishing the many lakes in Saskatchewan. Aquadeo Beach at Jackfish Lake held a special place in his heart and they enjoyed their cabin for many years eventually retiring full time to the lake. Everyone was always welcome anytime for a visit in their home or at the cabin. Watching CFL was his passion and he derived many years of enjoyment cheering on the Roughriders with his friends and family. Lloyd loved food and especially his wife’s cooking of which he always praised and appreciated.
Lloyd leaves behind his wife, Sharon (Glacken) of 49 years, as well as his daughter, Dawna (Barry Skrudland) and his son Lloyd (Kristina Konchak). Grandchildren, Shawna (Jeremy), Scott (Katy), Avery, Drew, Keira and great grandchildren, Norman, Rori, and Rhett. In keeping with Lloyd’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. He will be lovingly remembered by his family.The family wishes to thank St. Paul’s Palliative Care for their kindness and compassion during a difficult time.
