Judith Ann Lloyd (Patterson)

After her struggle with cancer, Mrs. Judi Lloyd passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at the Battleford Union Hospital at the age of 71 years. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday July 3, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Battlefords United Church with Reverend Janice Trost officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Judi Lloyd may be directed to Unity and District Health Centre Po Box 741 Airport Rd Unity, SK S0K 4L0 or the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, #200 – 4545 Parliament Avenue Regina, Saskatchewan S4W 0G3.
Judi grew up in Vancouver, BC and after high school, became an employee of the Bank of Nova Scotia and the Bank of Montreal. Within a few years she transferred from the Vancouver airport branch of BMO to the Edmonton Branch.
In 1970 she married Allan Lloyd in Edmonton and three years later transferred to the Unity BMO branch. At this time they moved to the family farm NE of Unity. Later in life they were able to travel to Texas for the winters and then to Parksville, B.C. where she met a few lifelong friends.
Judi received flying lessons in 1973 from a friend and later was the secretary of the Unity Flying Club for several years. She was an accomplished seamstress, a passionate and talented photographer and a perfectionist when it came to quilting. She was a member of the Rivers’ Edge Quilters, their treasurer for many years and she made many trips to the Don Ross Centre where she quilted alongside her many good friends.
Judi is lovingly remembered by her husband, Allan, several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents: Edward and Georgina Patterson.
She will be missed by many.
