John "Jack" Horsman

John “Jack” Horsman passed away peacefully in the care of Hardwood Manor on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the age of 90 years. He was a beloved farmer, friend, and family man. He will be remembered for his sunny disposition.
Born to John Horsman and Elizabeth Bremner on December 3, 1930, Jack was the sixth of seven children (Val, Ken, Lorraine, Doris, Dorothy, Jack, Shirley). Jack worked on the family farm near Unity, SK, for many years. Farming was a deep love and passion of his.
Jack’s five granddaughters were his pride and joy. He loved to laugh and tell jokes, and was truly a friend to so many.
Left to cherish Jack’s memory are: son, Pat Horsman and family Melissa and Courtney Horsman; son, Ken (Debbie) Horsman and family Alyssa (Joel) Wielenga; Chelsea Horsman; Kayla (Dayne) Vance; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Jack was predeceased by his parents: John Horsman and Elizabeth Bremner; siblings: Val (Gerry) Lensen, Ken (Norma) Horsman, Lorraine (Harold) Benjamin, Doris (Jack) Friesen, Dorothy (Don) Tibble, Shirley (George) Quick.
Jack’s family expresses their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Harwood Manor for their care of Jack over the last few years of his life.
A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Horsman Family Farm, with interment at Pleasant View Cemetery, Unity, SK.
