It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John “Jack” Abbott on Friday, March 24th, one week after celebrating his 97th birthday.

Prayer services were held on Monday, March 27th at 7:30 pm from Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, March 28th from St. Joseph Calasanctius Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Rev. Anthony Afangide, M.S.P. as celebrant. Luncheon and fellowship followed immediately after the service in the St. Joseph Hall. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in Jack’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon Branch 101 440 2nd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2C3. Those wishing to leave condolences for Jack and his family may do so at www.SallowsandMcDonald.com. Funeral arrangements for Jack have been entrusted to Martine de Bussac of Sallows & McDonald-Wilson & Zehner Funeral Home 1271 103rd Street, North Battleford.
