It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jimmy Ebach on September 13, 2019 at the age of 65 years in North Battleford, SK.
Jimmy will be lovingly remembered by his four daughters Michelle and son Noah, Aaron (David) and children Phoenix and Marek, Kayla and children Montana, Dallas, Savannah, Carter and Darica and Jorrie.
Jimmy is survived by his sister Elsie, brothers, Alvin (Judy), Wilfred (Wendy), Ralph (Tera), Norman (Sandy) and Bruce.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents Frank and Hazel, brother Larry, and children Derrick and Crystal.
Jimmy was born April 5, 1954 at the family home near Mullingar, Sk. He attended school in Mulllingar, Spiritwood and North Battleford. After Jimmy was done school, he worked at a variety of jobs until he found his calling as a truck driver. Jimmy first went to work at numerous different lumber mills in B.C. and Alberta. He settled in Moose Jaw where he met his first wife, Wendy Hennenfent. They were blessed with three daughters, Michelle, Aaron and Kayla. While in Moose Jaw, Jimmy worked as a bouncer, a railway contractor and at AgPro Grain. In 1987 Jimmy met his second wife Betty Anne and her daughter Crystal. He continued working at AgPro Grain until he decided to make the move to Edmonton to work as a driving instructor at Cameron Driving School. This is when his fourth daughter Jorrie was born.
Jimmy discovered his passion for driving trucks and had a long career which included hauling diesel, gas, jet fuel, oils and asphalt products and grain. He drove truck all through Canada including the B.C. mountains, the Prairies and Eastern Canada.
After driving truck for his brother Wilf for many years, Jimmy decided to branch out on his own and purchased a Kenworth which he owned and operated himself. He continued hauling fuel and paving products for Bay Carriers, Key Energy and Plains Midstream.
Jimmy finally returned to Battleford in 2013. He drove truck hauling grain, concrete and working for a local farmer.
During his life, Jimmy had many hobbies and talents which included baseball, slo-pitch, billiards and arm wrestling. His positions in baseball were back catcher and first base. He was known for his ability to knock the ball right out of the park. Jimmy won numerous trophies for baseball and arm wrestling. Jimmy loved rebuilding Dodge race cars and trucks, fishing, hunting and cooking. He was a legend in many pool halls and could beat almost anyone with his talent for playing pool with one arm behind his back.
Jimmy had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. He liked to scare people and had a talent for getting under your skin. He was a larger than life personality and could remember jokes and tell them for hours.
