Gerald Tomlin of Medstead, Saskatchewan, passed away on August 8, in

North Battleford Union Hospital at the age of 82. He was born on December

6, 1943 in Cut Knife, Saskatchewan, to Carmelia and Mark Tomlin. He was

an only child. Gerald loved to farm and anything related to farming. He was

passionate about welding, building up various businesses and fishing with

friends. He obtained his first quarter of land at the age of 15 in the Kerrobert

area. He is survived by 5 children (David, Dennis, Cheryl, Sharon and

Donald), 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, his loving wife Fern

Moen, her 2 children (Christine and Dennis) and their families. Gerald was

preceded in death by his parents and 1 grandchild. A service will be held to

celebrate Gerald’s life on Monday, August 17, at 2 pm in the Bethel Lutheran

Church located in Medstead. In lieu of flowers the family request that

donations be made to ‘Operation Smile’. This is a charity that was close to

Gerald’s heart which he donated to for many years.
