George Morin

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of George Morin on April 8th, 2016 at the age of 81 years at the Battleford’s Union Hospital with his beloved family at his side. George served as a member of the Princess Patricia Infantry, and was a proud member of the Saskatchewan First Nations Veterans and the Canadian Legion. His legacy will be carried out by his loving wife Sylvia Arcand; Children Karen Starr (Richard), Diane Morin (Edgar), Debbie Morin (Clayton), Darcy Morin (Mel), Derrick Morin (Marge), Dana Arcand, Duane Morin (Wanda), Corrine Morin (Randy), Eldon Morin, Lisa Ward;
19 Grand Children, 29 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; his siblings Frank Morin (Florence), and Elmer Morin; as well as numerous friends and relatives.
George is predeceased by his parents Alex and Clara Morin; siblings Charlie, Alger, Alphonse, Alec, Marcien, Mary, Dorcis; and his In-laws Harriet and Fred Arcand.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 11th at the Chapel of Sallows & McDonald-Wilson & Zehner Funeral Home, with Harry Lafond officiating. Interment is to take place at a later date. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Martine de Bussac of Sallows & McDonald-Wilson & Zehner Funeral Home, 306-445-2418.
