Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Eva was a God-fearing Christian woman. She was in her late 20’s when God got a hold of her and she surrendered her life to serving Him. Her choice caused her future to be changed forever.
She spent many hours on her knees in prayer for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Just knowing she was praying was a comfort. She would often phone and ask how her grandchildren and great grandchildren were doing. She was extremely generous and was always helping others and many times went without necessities, preferring to give away all she had. She helped numerous people outside the family, whenever she saw a need
Mom, you were a true and rare jewel in God’s crown and you will be greatly missed.
She was a residential school survivor where she suffered tremendous abuse and trauma which caused chaos in her life in her younger years.
She worked hard all her life and retired with a pension from the University of Alberta Hospital in the Housekeeping Department.
Pallbearers: Justin Boxell, Darrell Billesberger, Jonathan Poundmaker, Grant Gordon, Darrell
Poundmaker, Walter Lewis, Chris Pidwerbeski.
Eulogy by Mavis Billesberger and Justin Boxell
Mom, we know that we’ll see you again because you made a choice years ago that determined your eternal destination. We are looking forward to the day when you will come forth in the resurrection. We grieve not the same way as those with no hope. You are in the brilliance of youth and rejoicing and waiting for us.
See you in the rapture!!! WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE!!
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday June 22nd, 2021 at Poundmaker Veterans Hall, Poundmaker Cree First Nation.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 KJV
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
