Erwen (Butch) Kopp

Erwen F Kopp (Butch) was born and raised in Loon Lake, SK with his parents Erwin and Helga, brothers: Jerry and Leslie and sisters: Sharon, Shirley, Christina, Deborah, Joan and Norma.
He loved to hunt and shared that love with his wife Denise. His passion of gardening was enjoyed by many people, he often donated produce to many community events. His love of the outdoors led him to a career in forestry fire fighting for the Saskatchewan Government. During his career, he fought fires all over Saskatchewan, Alberta, many parts of Canada and even in Montana; he enjoyed sharing stories of his times fighting fires. When he wasn’t firefighting, he was working as a guard with the RCMP in Loon Lake.
Erwen is predeceased by his parents: Erwin and Helga; sisters: Norma, Sharon and Shirley; his uncles: John, Vern, Ernie and Whilhelm; aunts: Margret and Elsie; his brother-in-law, Glenn.
He is survived by his children: Raymond and Kennedy; brothers: Jerry and Leslie (Robyn); sisters: Joan, Christine (Stuart) and Deborah (Kevin); numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Garden Chapel 1332 100th St North Battleford, SK . Memorial donations in memory of Erwen Kopp may be made to the North Battleford Lighthouse – 962-102nd Street, North Battleford, SK S9A 1E4. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Vanessa Macnab of Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium.
