It is with great sadness the family of Derek Mooswa/ Nicotine announce his passing at the Battlefords Union Hospital at the age of 38 years.  A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Moosomin Hall with Pastor Ralph Nicotine and Band Elders officiating.  Interment will follow at the Moosomin Cemetery.

Left to cherish his memory: father, Robert Mooswa, wife, Jennie Moosomin; son, Dante Mooswa; sisters: Blair Mooswa, Shayleen (Devon) Nicotine & Joni Mooswa; maternal uncles: Ralph Nicotine, Alvin Nicotine; maternal aunties: Rose (Edward) Stanley, Brenda (Paul) Lemire, Patricia (Edward) Bird, Geraldine (Isadore) Frenchman, Delphine Nicotine, Andrea Nicotine; paternal uncles: Albert (Edna) Mooswa, Alex Mooswa; paternal aunties: Cecile Mooswa, Gloria Mooswa, Lilliam (Arnold) Frenchman; nephews & nieces: Clarice Sutherland, Marley Mooswa, Kahlen, Rashawn, Aleace, Leanne, Julian, Shanythia; special brothers: Justin Moosomin, Robert Jr. Sutherland.

He is predeceased by his mother, Elsie Nicotine; sisters: Colleen, Francine, Sequin, Precious; grandparents: Lenard & Catherine Nicotine, John & Marie Mooswa; uncles: James, Bennett, Gabriel Nicotine, Thomas Mooswa, Leo Mooswa; aunties: Evelyne Spyglass, Mary Rose Mooswa, Gail Fineday.
