Deidra Bear

She is the daughter of Miranda Kennedy of Little Pine First Nation and Calvin Carter of Onion Lake First Nation. Deidra had two children Nevayah Le’Nora Bear and Kodee Kreeden Okemow and had five siblings: Zacherie Desjarlais, Amanda Riddle, Ashley Herle, and Trevor Carter.
Deidra loved her children dearly and had a special place in her heart for Cody Okemow of Lucky Man First Nation.
Deidra was predeceased by her maternal parents Darlene Bear, Lauraine Bear, and great grandfather Eli Bear of Little Pine, SK, paternal grandparents Helen and Raymond Carter of Onion Lake, SK.
Survivors: Chapan Nora Bear, moshoms Clifford, Leonard, Richard, and kokum Reberda Bear of Little Pine. Chapan Eva Paskimin, aunties Peggy Harper, Eileen Longmore, Jean Takakenew, and uncles Ray and Leonard Carter of Onion Lake as well as numerous other uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Deidra was a friendly, kind, and loving person. She loved to listen to music and sang often. She cleaned the house often and liked to cook breakfast for her family. Deidra spent a lot of time with her family and when she was at home it was her sanctuary. She kept in touch with other family members and talked with friends often.

There will be a viewing at Hainstock’s Funeral Home and Crematorium 9810 34th Ave Edmonton, AB Friday June 24 1:30pm to 2:30pm.
Celebration of Life; Little Pine First Nations Elders Hall June 25th 11am
