With much love and deep sadness, I announce the peaceful passing of my husband, Dean Conrad Yahn in North Battleford Union Hospital on January 10th, 2022 with family by his side at the age of 93 years.
Survived by his wife, Judy, and their three children: Boyd (wife, Donna), Bradley and Michelle (husband, Del Hesch); three grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Dean was born in Macrorie, SK on February 5th, 1928. He attended public school there, high school at City Park Collegiate in Saskatoon. He also took three years of engineering at the U. of S. He joined SaskPower in 1949 and retired with 35 years of service in 1984. His plan once retired was to build a cottage at Michel Point at Dore Lake which he did and we were fortunate enough to enjoy it for another 35 years. We were also blessed to be able to enjoy over 71 years of marriage.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to BUH or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to Dr. Patricia Campbell and the wonderful nurses on Palliative care, third floor for the 10 days he was in their care.
Thank you everyone for the visits, food, flowers and cards. As per Dean’s wishes there will be no funeral, but there will be a small family service at some time in the future at Michel Point. Finally, thanks to Vanessa at Eternal Memories Funeral Home for all her kind assistance.
