Daniel Morris Salisbury was born in North Battleford Saskatchewan on January 13, 1956 to Ralph and Margaret Salisbury (Borisenko). He was the eldest of 2 children. Daniel was raised in the Mullingar Distract. In the early days he worked on and off the farm. In the winter, he would drive CAT, but with farming as his passion he stayed in Mullingar and worked the farm with his dad. After his father’s passing in 1988, Daniel took over the farm. On December 3, 1977, Daniel married Jeannie Kowerchuk. They were blessed with 3 wonderful children, whom Dan was very proud of. Daniel was very active in the Mullingar community and served as Councillor and Reeve of the RM of Meeting Lake, as well as having a huge part in the 4-H club for many years. He was a very good neighbour, friend and family man. On July 21, 2001 Daniel married Patsy Lafave, and in the process gained 5 more step-children. They lived on the farm at Mullingar for 2 years, but in 2003 they decided to start a new life and bought a farm in the Willowbrook area where they continued to farm. Here he continued to be a good community member and neighbour, actively participating on the PFRA Pasture Board. As well as farming, he also worked off and on at the Heartland Stockyard. Dan was most proud of his family. With 8 children and 13 grandchildren, he was often heard telling stories or bragging about their unique personalities and talents! Dan passed away suddenly on October 29th at Yorkton Regional hospital. Daniel leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Patsy (McNutt), his son Devin (Jolene), Cailey and Cliff Salisbury, daughter Michelle (Gregg), Corbin and George Hynes, daughter Candace (Jeremy), Austin and Justin Hetu, daughter Jennifer Lafave and Tiana Calder, daughter Sarah (Brendon), Jaida, Jase and Jessa Smith, daughter Amanda (Landis), Leah, Ashlynn, and Reid Rutz, son Jonathan Lafave (Karla Nagy), and son Matthew Salisbury (Lafave), his mother Margaret Salisbury, sister Sharon (Walter) Rentz, Mother-in- law Adgerine McNutt, sister-in- laws Arlene (John) Amson, Kathy (Shaun) Calder, Verena (Jason) Popowich, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dan is pre-deceased by his father Ralph Salisbury, Grandmother Anne Nelson, and Grandmother-in- law Lillian Welsh.
