Constance "Connie" Weimer

Connie was born December 25, 1937 on the farm in Colfax, SK. There she attended a rural school till her graduation. She then attended secretarial college in Regina, SK. After college she worked for Service Canada in the Record of Unemployment Dept.
The start of her music career began with her brother and father in a band where they traveled southern Saskatchewan. Where she was fortunate enough to meet Phil Weimer playing at a gig and the rest is history. Connie met Phil Weimer from Kendal, SK and they married in Colfax on June 1, 1957 and they had 3 daughters. They moved to Eastend, SK where Connie taught singing and piano lessons; this was one of her many passions. From there they moved to Hafford, SK where she worked for the insurance company. Blaine Lake, SK was their next stop for the next 50 years. Connie worked for the Bank of Commerce and then retired. After retirement she went onto work at the Highway Café for many years. Connie recently moved back to Hafford, SK in December of 2019 where she lived at the Hafford Special Care Home until her passing March 10, 2020.
Connie’s many passions included camping with family, playing cards with her 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She loved music and won many awards singing and playing the piano. She played for many weddings and played the organ in church for several years. Connie was active in many organizations including the CWL, Seniors Centre and the Kinettes. For many years she taught the Music Club Program at the Blaine Lake School.
Connie will be remembered by her 3 daughters: Leanne (Karl) Germann of Grande Prairie, AB their family – Jayson Protz (Kara), Dawn Martin (Connor), Braydon Germann; Laurie (Russ) Cheveldayoff of Saskatoon, SK their family- Ashley Cheveldayoff (Allen Bekolay), Amanda Cheveldayoff (Jessie Bernier); Rhonda (Brad) McEachern of North Battleford, SK their family- Lindsay McEachern (Breanne), Mitchell McEachern; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Connie was predeceased by her loving husband, Phil Weimer; brother & sister-in-law, Bernie & Diane Schneider; parents: John & Mary Schneider.
As per Connie’s request, there will be no formal service held and only a private family gathering to remember and celebrate her life.
