It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Chasity Renee Poundmaker. Chasity was born in Saskatoon February 12th 1989. Chasity (Chas) leaves behind her Mama Lucinda Poundmaker, Father Terry Mccullough, Brother Jonathan Poundmaker, Sister Roxanne Poundmaker, Brother Steven Poundmaker, Sister Angela Morrow, Kookum Eva Poundmaker, Grandma Linda Bell, many Aunties and beloved nieces and nephews. Most importantly she leaves behind her precious children Janika, Bentley and Oaklynn and common law partner Nick Corra.
Chasity was passionate about embracing her indigenous culture and created such beauty in making dreamcatchers, beading along with smudging and praying to our creator.
Chasity was always furthering her education and had a natural willingness to learn and try new things. She had a certificate in Esthetics and when she was ready for a change she secured a diploma in Marketing and Communications from Cypress College in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Chasity had the ability to light up an entire room with her beautiful breath taking smile and her personality glowed. Chasity had a big heart that cared for many; especially those who were broken and always wanted to help those in need. She was understanding, beautiful, funny, strong, Artistic, Adventurous down to earth and a survivor of many obstacles life threw at her.
Our beautiful sister, daughter, niece, Mother, grand daughter and friend is in heaven dancing and singing with Jesus, soaring high and pain free. As Chasity would say “This too Shall pass”.
