Betty Davidson

Born Betty Mildred to David and Amy Jaeger in 1931 – a sibling for brother Robert. She spent her growing up years in North Battleford making neighborhood friends and attending school. It was here that she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Davidson. After their marriage they moved to Saskatoon where all four of their children were born. Betty was a consummate homemaker… she excelled in cooking, cleaning, sewing, yard work and training her kids for “life”. She loved to bake and were we ever glad she did. She worked various part time jobs over her lifetime and was proud of her endeavors. Her father had purchased a family cabin on Day’s Beach at Jackfish Lake early on and as a result there were many adventures and fond family memories created there for much of her lifetime. This was most definitely her happy place. It was here that she was crowned Miss Northwestern Saskatchewan in 1948.
She put her all into caring for her family – often placing their needs ahead of her own. She was wise, compassionate, caring and a constant loving companion to her husband Bob. Betty had an ear for music and along with her beautiful singing voice she played piano and organ. When nothing else could lift her spirits, certain songs got her toes to tapping right up to the end.
She was previously deceased by her parents David/Amy Jaeger, brother Bob Jaeger, husband Bob Davidson and beloved son Thomas (Tom) Davidson.
Betty cared deeply for all her family. She leaves behind daughter Linda Pelletier (Roger), son Larry Davidson (Kathie), daughter Joanne Davidson (Robb Hanson) and precious daughter-in-law Sherry Davidson. Grandchildren Alanna Coode (John), Drew Davidson (Lisa), Jenny Davidson, Alixx Davidson, and Tristin Hanson (Ashley). Great-grandchildren Owen/Erik Davidson, Isaac/Elliot Coode, and Tanner-Joe Hanson.
Mom never truly recovered from the loss of Dad – she never imagined a life without him. We like to think of the two of them united again – along with their precious son Tom.
Rest easy now Mom, your time has come.
A private graveside interment will take place at a later date in North Battleford.
