For the first time, Battlefords Trade and Education Centre (BTEC), Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre, and Farm Credit Canada (FCC) have partnered together to host a food drive in the town of Battleford, Saskatchewan.  

BTEC have been busy all week dropping off FCC bags to front doors all over Battleford. They will then collect the doors the bags filled with food on Monday September 24th.  FCC will then be sorting and putting the food away.

So far this September the Food Bank has been very busy.

We have  handed out over 150 more food hampers compared to other months.

Back to school is a very hard time of the year for many families, and it reflects with a rise in Food Bank usage.

Unfortunately the demand is surpassing the supply and we are finding ourselves with empty shelves.

Thanks to FCC and BTEC we will be able to replenish those shelves.
