POETRY WRITING RESIDENCE – WINNIPEG: April 24 to May 2, 2019
(Maison Gabrielle Roy & Alliance Française du Manitoba)

READING TOUR – CANADA: May 3 to May 15, 2019
READING TOUR – FRANCE: May 16 to May 23, 2019

Requirements to apply:
1. Be part of an Indigenous community of Canada (Inuit, Métis, First Nations).
2. Be a poet, and be able to demonstrate a substantial enough body of work to support a writing residency and sustain the international tour.
3. Have published no more than three books of poetry or prose.
4. Write in English.
5. Be willing and available to write and tour with a French poet, in Canada and France, in the Spring of 2019 from April 25 – May 8 and from May 17 – 23, 2019, and to participate in the workshops, readings and interviews linked to the writing residence and tour.

• three pieces of your literary work (maximum 10 pages in total)

Red Rising Magazine, the Centre for Creative Writing and Oral Cultures at the University of Manitoba, La Maison Gabrielle-Roy, Alliance Française du Manitoba, Double Change (Paris), the Maison de la Poésie de Nantes, the Institut Français, the Centre Culturel Canadien and the cultural services of the French Embassy in Canada are partnering to offer this writing residence and reading tour.
