Research Project for Parents of Children with Disabilities

Oct 15, 2016 | 8:46 AM

The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living is partnering with Elise Matthews, Assistant Professor at the University of Regina Faculty of Nursing on a research project. We are looking for volunteers for a study of experiences of parents of children living with disabilities.

If you are a parent of a child living with a disability (Physical, Intellectual, Developmental, or Medical) you are invited to participate in 2 or 3 confidential interviews and to complete a questionnaire. You will be asked to share your family story, your experiences as a caregiver, and how you obtain the services that you need.

In appreciation for your time you will receive a gift of $50 after each interview and any parking or childcare expenses will be reimbursed. You can participate in your home community or by telephone. This is a province wide project so regardless of community you are invited to participate.

For more information or to volunteer please contact Elise Matthews at elise.matthews@uregina.ca or by telephone at (306) 664-7393.
