Town of Battleford parade offers plenty of variety

Whether it was the horses, the farming equipment or the antique cars, the Town of Battleford parade offered plenty to see when it snaked through town Friday evening.

The town had more than 50 entries registered for the event.

Town of Battleford parade scheduled for Friday

Locals will have an opportunity to have some fun and cheer for their favourite floats at the 35th annual Battleford parade Friday.

The Town of Battleford confirmed there are about 50 entries already registered for the annual event, so everything is good to go.

The province's work to improve Highway 4 North should be completed late this fall, according to David Merritt, Minister of Highways and Infrastructure.

The new Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford and the Highway 4 North improvements were among some of the projects being discussed at Wednesday's Saskatchewan Party Caucus Retreat near North Battleford.

The family of a missing North Battleford woman is planning to hold a dinner and auction fundraiser Friday to help cover the cost of hiring a private investigator.
