Employee attacked with bear spray during armed robbery

Battlefords RCMP are asking for the public's help following an armed robbery at a convenience store in North Battleford at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police vehicles could be seen outside Chester Fried Chicken North Battleford Foodland that morning.

The Battlefords Chamber of Commerce recognized businesses for their longevity as part of Tuesday’s awards gala.

The Heritage Award went to Sallows and Mcdonald - Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home this year.

The Battlefords Chamber of Commerce brought plenty of smiles to business leaders in the community when it awarded the winners during the 24th annual Battlefords Business of Excellence (BBEX) awards dinner and gala at the Dekker Centre, Tuesday.

Local students help upgrade outdoor rink

The town of Battleford is getting ready for another season of outdoor skating with help from local high school students.

There are plans to upgrade and increase the size of the existing rink, located at ACT Park, commonly known as 35th Street Park.
