Planned work to impact internet, landline service in Cochin and surrounding area

SaskTel said the Resort Village of Cochin will be without wireless, landline and internet service starting at midnight on Oct. 25 to around 3 a.m. due to planned fibre optic work.

Service will be disrupted as SaskTel crews move underground cables located south of Cochin to make way for a construction project on Highway 4.

In addition the communities of Aquadeo Beach, Beacon Hill, Beauval, Buffalo Narrows, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Canoe Narrows, Dillon, Glaslyn, Goodsoil, Green Lake, Greig Lake, Iffley, Ile-a-la-Crosse, La Loche, Loon Lake, Lanz Point, Medstead, Meadow Lake, Moosomin First Nation, Makwa, Patuanak, Saulteaux First Nation, Turnor Lake, and Turtle Lake and will be without landline service during the same period, but will have access to the internet.
