A new physician has arrived in Unity to serve the community and surrounding area.

Dr. Manizheh Hassan Zadeh started practising at the Downtown Medical Clinic in September, according to the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Originally from Iran, Dr. Zadeh received her medical training from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and has received Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada. She has practised family medicine and paediatrics for 29 years.

Her husband, a physician and anaesthetist in Iran, plans to join his family in Canada once he retires.
