An 89-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Unity late Friday.

Police said an initial investigation suggests the 89-year-old driver of a Dodge Caravan crossed the highway into the path of an eastbound Ford Flex.

The driver of the Caravan was taken to the Unity Health Centre where he was confirmed deceased.

The 63-year-old male driver of the Ford Flex, a Saskatoon resident, was also treated at the health centre for his injuries, but later released.
