Planned power outages in the Battlefords

Sep 11, 2018 | 11:28 AM

Residents in the Battlefords may have noticed a power outage for a few hours this morning.

Jordan Jackle, a spokesperson for SaskPower, said the power outage was planned due to repairs.

“What we’re doing is installing some underground conduit, which is kind of like tubing that our underground cables run through,” he said. “So it’s really improving our underground service there and making it more reliable for the long-term.“

Jackle said power should return to the area over the lunch hour, and then will likely out again from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
