Sep 5, 2018 | 11:43 AM

Former Saskatchewan Roughrider Justin Cox has pleaded guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily harm.

Cox’s trial was due to begin Wednesday morning but he entered a guilty plea at the beginning.

He was dropped from the team in April 2017 after being charged with assault in connection with a domestic dispute. Those charges were later dropped.

Cox was arrested again in September 2017 on charges of assault.

He will return to court for sentencing at a later date.
