Five people arrested in N.B. following police pursuit
Battlfords RCMP nabbed five suspects following a pursuit in the city Tuesday evening.
The individuals are facing number of charges including assaulting a police officer, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break and enter tools, firearms offences and driving-related offences.
RCMP said in a release that the five people were spotted during a routine patrol around 10:25 p.m. Tuesday. Police recognized the vehicle the group was in as having been involved in a previous robbery.
Police also recovered two firearms – one was altered and another that was allegedly stolen from another community, along with an altered firearm ammunition, and break and enter tools.
