Man Tasered, arrested after allegedly intimidating staff, removing clothes at Railway Ave. business

A 44-year-old man is facing a number of charges after an incident that ended in him being Tasered Saturday night in the Battlefords.

Battlefords RCMP said they responded to a male displaying erratic behaviour, intimidating female staff, exposing his genitals and removing most of his clothing at around 10:40 p.m. at a business on Railway Ave. E.

The man resisted arrest and fought with officers before being Tasered and taken into custody, according to RCMP.

Paramedics were called and the man was transported to hospital due to police using a Taser and the man’s erratic behaviour.

The man, from Sherwood Park, Alta., is facing charges of an indecent act, assault, mischief, assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest.
