Human remains discovered in rural area near Biggar

Partial remains discovered on July 24 are human.

After receiving reports of remains, Biggar RCMP officers and the local fire department, recovered them.

An RCMP media release said a forensic anthropologist has now determined the remains are human.

Investigators from the Biggar RCMP detachment, RCMP Historical Crimes Unit North and the Coroner’s Office are working to determine the identity of the remains.
