Everything North Stars in one place

Aug 2, 2018 | 12:00 PM

Your new home for everything North Stars is the free Battlefords North Stars App.

The North Stars App is a must-have for any hockey fan, bringing them just a click away from all the latest stats, notes and up-to-date news on the players, right in the palm of your hand, on both android and apple app stores. Caitlyn Gray, marketing and office manager for the North Stars, told battlefordsNOW the details on the new application.

“It’s kind of everything you need to know about the North Stars in one place,” she said. “All of our social medias, our website, any news articles and all of our scheduling is on there. Our roster, stats and a link to the radio station that will play our games, as well as a link to HockeyTV broadcasts.”

Gone are the days of rushing out after work in the pouring rain or falling snow to snag your North Star tickets before they’re sold out. With the North Stars App, you can purchase your tickets from the comfort of home – or from the office – something as easy as ABC, Gray said.

“You can find the game that you want, our schedules are all on there, so all you have to do is select the game you want, and then click on the ticket link,” she said. “It will take you right to our ticketing site, and you can pick which seat you want and then you’re good to go.”

The North Stars App is also ideal for fans looking to get more hands on with their experience, taking you closer to the action than ever before.

“We like to do lots of stuff for our fans during our games,” Gray said. “We always do something during the intermissions, so this is an easy way to get fans entered to play. We also want to do fan engagement events throughout the game, so prize giveaways, or we’ll let our fans vote on who they think the hardest working player was, or the three stars of the game.”

The North Stars open up their regular season on Sept. 14 at home when they take on the Kindersley Klippers at 7:30 p.m.
