Cut Knife RCMP respond to train derailment

There are no injuries or spills after a train derailment near Rockhaven yesterday, July 17.

Around 6:08 p.m. seven cars carrying liquid asphalt derailed, but the cars remained upright and no product spilled.

Police say there is no hazard to the local community.

Cut Knife RCMP, EMS, Canadian Pacific Police Service and the local Hazmat team responded. The Canadian Pacific Police Service remains on scene and continues to investigate.
