A man was stabbed at a home on the Red Pheasant First Nation early Wednesday morning, according to RCMP.

Officers were called to a residence on the First Nation shortly after midnight July 11 for a report of a male victim suffering a stab wound. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, RCMP said, and his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The suspect was described as a man wearing a black face mask and all black clothing. RCMP said the suspect assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene in a two-door black car.

Anyone with information on the crime was asked to contact Battlefords RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
